Korean in U.S. Urges U.S. to Stop North-targeted Joint Military Exercises
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Ri In Suk, a Korean in the U.S., sent a letter to U.S. President Obama on August 5 urging him to stop the north-targeted joint military exercises and conclude a peace treaty with the north, according to Minjok Thongsin, an online paper of Koreans in the U.S.

Hitting out at the U.S. and south Korea for staging large-scale joint military drills in August, Ri wrote in the letter:

These may spill over to a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula.

The situation surrounding the north's geopolitical position has changed. Now is the time for the U.S. to roll back its outdated policy toward the north.

The U.S. should stop the joint military exercises with south Korea and opt for concluding a peace treaty with the north.
