President Kim Il Sung promulgated the Law on Nationalization of Major Industries on August 10, Juche 35(1946) and thus turned the factory into the one serving the people, solving problems on the spot.

Leader Kim Jong Il made sure that the production capacity of the factory was increased and raw materials fully supplied during the arduous time and took a revolutionary step to newly build a germ-free and automated oil-refining process and essential nutrient production process. He worked heart and soul to provide Pyongyang citizens with tasty and nutritious essential foodstuff till the last moments of his life.

The workers and officials of the factory developed it into a modern foodstuff production complex equipped with strong material and technological foundation, true to the intention of the Party to glorify the history of loving the people of the great leaders for all ages.

A meeting took place Wednesday to mark the anniversary.

Present there were Kim Su Gil, chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials concerned and the officials and employees of the factory.

A congratulatory message sent by the C.C., the WPK was conveyed to the workers, technicians and officials of the factory at the meeting.
