Many Koreans and Foreigners Visit Arch of Triumph
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- At least 48 000 organizations and delegations and a lot of service personnel of the Korean People's Army, people of various circles, youths and children, overseas Koreans and foreigners have visited the Arch of Triumph at the foot of Moran Hill since it was built 34 years ago.

The Arch of Triumph is a monumental edifice built on the 70th birthday of President Kim Il Sung to glorify his revolutionary exploits in which he achieved the historic cause of the country's liberation by leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory and made a triumphal return to the homeland.

The visitors kept deep in their mind the revolutionary history of President Kim Il Sung who founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea, defeated the brigandish Japanese imperialists by leading the anti-Japanese war to a victory and made a triumphal return to the homeland by achieving the historic cause of national liberation.

Being briefed on sculptures in relief, they once again realized that a new history of brilliant victories and epochal changes was ushered in on this land for the first time in the history of the nation spanning 5,000 years as Kim Il Sung was held in high esteem as the leader of the Korean revolution.

445,700 foreigners, overseas Koreans and south Koreans have visited the Arch of Triumphant since it was built.
