Kim Il Sung Liberates Korean Nation: DR Congo Paper
Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung liberated the Korean nation.

The DR Congo paper L'Avenir on August 5 said this in an article titled "President Kim Il Sung, benefactor of liberation" dedicated to the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

It went on:

The international community is remembering with deep emotion President Kim Il Sung, who defeated U.S. and Japanese imperialism in one generation, with the approach of August 15.

The President defeated the Japanese imperialists who occupied Korea by force of arms, and liberated the country.

The Korean people held him in high esteem as the sun of nation and savior of liberated Korea as he led the 15-year long anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory.

This helped them make genuine contribution to the building of an independent and sovereign state as masters of their own destiny free from colonial slavery.

The feats of Kim Il Sung, benefactor of liberation, would be cherished in the hearts of the Korean people and other progressives century after century.

The paper dedicated one whole page to a special write-up, illustrated with a photo of Kim Il Sung making a historic address on his triumphant return to the homeland.
