The presentation was sponsored by the C.C., the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers, graduate students and officials in the fields of science, education and chemical industry including the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering and the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex.

The presentation was divided into panels of fertilizer, plastics and fiber, rare-earth and paper. Its participants heard more than 120 papers helpful to maintaining and overhauling in good time production facilities and systems, expanding production capacities and realizing the local production of catalyzer in the field of chemical industry in order to put Juche fertilizer, Juche vinalon and basic chemical goods production on normal footing.

Drawing the attention of the participants were successes which have been introduced into factories and enterprises in the field of chemical industry including the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex to locally produce raw materials and ensure economic efficiency.
