The performance began with the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung."

Put on the stage were colorful numbers such as grand chorus "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung" and kayagum ensemble "Nilliri for Songun".

The performers sang high praises of the feats of President Kim Il Sung who defeated the Japanese imperialists and accomplished the historic cause of Korea's liberation by leading the 20-year-long arduous anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory.

Such numbers as narration and grand chorus "General of Korea" and male solo "General, Here Is the Forefront" reflected the boundless reverence for leader Kim Jong Il who made a long tour of Songun till the last moments of his revolutionary life.

Grand choruses such as revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung" represented the strong spirit of the new generation who will vigorously advance toward the final victory of the cause of the Juche revolution pioneered on Mt. Paektu under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, holding aloft the red flag of Juche associated with the lives of the great leaders.

Officials concerned, officials of the youth league and youth and students in Pyongyang watched the performance.
