Displayed at the venue of the meeting were photos dealing with the immortal external activities of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

On display there were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing the DPRK.

Present there were figures of the government, political parties, organizations and institutions including the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and the Russian Academy of Science.

Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, said in a report that we celebrate Kim Jong Il's visit to Russia every August.

He made great contributions to the development of the Russia-DPRK friendly relations through his several visits to Russia, the chairman said, and went on:

Aug. 15 is the significant day when the Korean people defeated the Japanese imperialists and accomplished the historic cause of Korea's liberation under the leadership of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung.

I sincerely wish the Korean people only victory and glory in the future, too.
