The Taedonggang beer is regarded as a pride of Pyongyang. It is brewed with natural water under an upper district of the River Taedong, barley and rice of South Hwanghae Province and hops of Ryanggang Province as its main raw materials.

Established throughout its production process are the quality control system ISO 9001 and food safety control systems HACCP and ISO 22000.

The Taedonggang beer was evaluated as one of the best domestic products and awarded the Dec. 15 medal for quality. And its quality and taste have been highly appraised, when compared with world-famous beers.

Ri Pong Hak, manager of the Taedonggang Beer Factory, told KCNA that seven kinds of beers are served at the festival.
