The Puryong Ferroalloy Factory has developed over 20 kinds of ternary, quaternary and rare-earth ferroalloys and completed methods of producing them by using anthracite.

The development of ferroalloys with high desulphurization and deoxidization capacity makes it possible to supply quality alloy steels and standardized steels to different fields of national economy.

Cha Song Chol, chief engineer, told KCNA that his factory, which succeeded in integrating science and technology with production, is fully equipped for producing new ferroalloys.

Now, ferroalloys produced by the factory are used in improving the quality of steel products for construction.
