S. Korean Body Demands Stop to Ulji Freedom Guardian

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration held a press conference in front of the Taejon City Office on August 18 in demand of the stop to the moves for Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises increasing the danger of war on the Korean peninsula, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

In a press release the organization denounced the U.S. and the south Korean authorities for their moves to stage Ulji Freedom Guardian from August 22.

The exercises are unprecedentedly dangerous as they may spill over to a real war as the U.S. recently deployed B-1Bs and B-2As in Anderson air force base on Guam and nuclear submarines in the waters off the Korean peninsula and the Pacific for emergency standby, it said.

It strongly demanded the Park Geun Hye regime stop the moves for the joint military exercises with the U.S. and opt for the south-north dialogue.
