Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- The Indian paper Rising Europe on August 17 carried an article titled "President Kim Il Sung's Exploits for Korea's Liberation". Noting that August 15 this year was the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation from the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists, the article went on: The Korean people impressively recall the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, who achieved the historic cause of national liberation, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation. The President formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union in his teens, which meant the declaration of stand off with imperialism, and founded the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and launched the anti-Japanese war against the Japanese imperialist aggressors, who styled themselves "leader of Asia", without rear of state and support by regular army. He led battles with the enemies to victory with mysterious guerrilla methods and called upon patriotic forces of all strata to turn out in the sacred war for liberation of the country. President Kim Il Sung built a new democratic country after the liberation and defeated the U.S. imperialists in the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War, thereby shattering the myth of the "mightiness" of the U.S., and established a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence on the ruins. |
