A delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) led by Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, attended the congress.

The platform was taken by President of the Republic of Angola Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, president of the Central Committee of the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola, members of the leadership of the Movement, Ri Su Yong, head of the WPK delegation, and other heads of the party delegations of various countries.

A report on the work of the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola and congratulatory speeches were made at the congress.

Warmly congratulating the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola on its Seventh Congress upon the authorization of the C.C., the WPK, he noted that the congress marked an important occasion in providing a new landmark in turning Angola into an independent and prosperous country.

He stressed that the WPK would make all efforts to further develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the WPK and the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola in the future, too, true to the will of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Jose Eduardo Dos Santos was re-elected as president of the Central Committee of the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola at the congress.

During the congress Ri Su Yong separately met and had talks with Nangolo Mbumba, general secretary of the South West Africa People's Organizational Party, Eliseu Joaquim Machava, secretary general of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, the chairman of the Liberation Movement of Sao Tome and Principe-Social Democratic Party, Jose Ramon Balaguer, international secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and other heads of the party delegations of various countries.
