Russian Paper Observes Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Visit to Russia

| Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Russian paper Teleport on Aug. 17 carried an article written by Gennadi Astakhov, chief of the Tynda Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of Russia, on the 5th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's visit to the Siberian and Far Eastern Regions of the Russian Federation. It also carried a photo of Kim Jong Il. The article said: August 21 marks the 5th anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il's visit to the Bureya Hydro-electric Plant. It was a sensational visit. He was greeted by the presidential envoy, the governor of Amur Region and other officials at Bureya Railway Station in Amur Region. He looked round the hydro-electric plant. A monument to his visit was erected at the plant on the 1st anniversary of his visit to the Siberian and Far Eastern Regions. Stamps were issued in the DPRK to mark the anniversary of his visit to Russia in 2011. |
