56 years ago today, leader Kim Jong Il began his Songun leadership with the inspection of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army.

Thanks to his Songun leadership, the DPRK could firmly defend socialism, demonstrating its might as a military power capable of frustrating any formidable enemy.

Now, the people of the DPRK are stepping up the construction of a socialist power, shattering all challenges of the U.S.-led imperialists. Therefore, it is quite natural that the Songun politics has been highly appreciated by the international community.

A member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) said that Kim Jong Il had developed the Songun politics in ideological, systematical and practical way to defend its dignity and sovereignty against the imperialist allied forces.

The secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea said that peace can never be settled in all countries without putting an end to the imperialists' high-handedness and arbitrariness, adding:

The reality goes to prove that the way to build a new independent and peaceful world lies in following the Songun politics. As the DPRK has been led by the peerlessly great men, it could emerge as a power with immense self-defence capability and as a model for the world progressives.

A head of a delegation of the Workers' Party of Mexico, which visited the DPRK, said:

As supreme leader Kim Jong Un has creditably carried forward the Songun politics, the DPRK is successfully building a socialist power, defending its sovereignty and fully displaying its dignity to the world. Thanks to the Songun politics, the DPRK could strengthen its military muscle, have the strongest army and launch strong offensive against threats posed by the imperialists.
