Vice-Chairman of WPK Central Committee Hold Talks with General Secretary of SWAPO
Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) who visited Namibia at the head of a WPK delegation, had talks with General Secretary of the South West Africa People's Organizational Party Nangolo Mbumba on August 22.

Ri Su Yong said that supreme leader Kim Jong Un was elected chairman of the WPK at its 7th Congress.

He informed the general secretary of how the 7th Congress of the WPK was held and the dynamic struggle being waged by all the party members, service personnel and other people for accomplishing the cause of building a socialist power.

He referred to the validity and vitality of the WPK's idea of prioritizing the people and the youth and underlined the need to invariably develop the friendly relations between the two parties.

The general secretary said that the eye-opening achievements made by the DPRK are the fruition of the unique politics and leadership mode of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, adding that the WPK and the Koreran people under his wise leadership would always emerge victorious.

The Namibian people will always remember the disinterested support and encouragement rendered by the WPK and the Korean people to their struggle in the past, he noted, adding: We will as ever develop the relations with the DPRK, no matter how frequently the situation may change.

Noting that the achievements made by the WPK in the ideological work and the work with young people are precious experience for the SWAPO, he said it will proactively promote cooperation and exchange with the DPRK in various fields including the party building, ideological work and youth education.

The WPK delegation was invited to a banquet given by the SWAPO on the same day.
