The young people are the most viable and powerful force in the struggle to advance history and transform the world.

Under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung in the past century the young Korean communists fought against the brigandish Japanese imperialists with arms in their hands, saving the destiny of the country and nation and smashing the ambition of the Japanese imperialists for dominating Asia.

It was none other than the young Korean people that defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation and the global peace by unhesitatingly dedicating their precious youth to their heroic fight for the country when it was exposed to a grave danger due to the U.S. imperialists' invasion.

During the period of the postwar rehabilitation and construction and in the subsequent period, too, they openheartedly devoted their strength, wisdom and precious sweat to building socialism centered on the popular masses independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence. Thanks to their devoted struggle the DPRK emerged an invincible political and military power and a powerful bulwark for independence against imperialism and global peace.

The achievements and experience gained by the Korean revolution while dynamically advancing full of vigor and viability, without any stagnation and stalemate clearly prove that the bright future of the country and nation depends on how to prioritize the youth.

It is the firm determination and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to project the young people as the masters of the era in the front ranks of the general advance and encourage them to enter the gate of a socialist power before anyone else.
