He noted that hope for the independent reunification, peace and prosperity provided by the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration was completely dashed under the rule of Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye and as a result south Korean people's living plunged into destitution and the danger of a nuclear war has mounted on the Korean peninsula.

Saying that the adoption of the said declarations was a great auspicious event to the nation, he stressed the declarations marked immortal milestones which would make it possible to end the era of division and accomplish the independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the nation and that they represented the noblest spirit of the times.

He asserted that the implementation of the declarations is a pressing task all political parties and social organizations should prioritize as a core programme.
