The statement said:

The danger of a war is mounting on the Korean peninsula owing to the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces' frantic moves for igniting a nuclear war.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces are staging the above-said military exercises aimed at launching a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK and "occupying Pyongyang".

The exercises are an open threat to the DPRK and an extremely dangerous act of harassing peace and security on the Korean peninsula.

The General Staff of the Korean People's Army solemnly declared that if the aggressors show the even slightest sign of aggression on the inviolable land, seas and air of the DPRK, it would turn the stronghold of provocation into a heap of ashes through merciless preemptive nuclear strike.

The Supreme Council and all members of the New Socialist Party of Romania fully support the DPRK's reasonable self-defensive measures.

The U.S. and south Korean authorities should immediately halt the joint military exercises and roll back their anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK, not escalating the tension on the Korean peninsula.

The U.S. should be serious to the warning from the DPRK which had access to the powerful nuclear strike means.
