Statement of Spokesman for KPA General Staff Supported by British Organizations

Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The British preparatory committee for 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association UK issued a joint statement on August 22 in support of the statement of a spokesman for the General Staff of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

The statement said that Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drill being staged by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces is a provocative one for a war of aggression targeting the DPRK, the statement said, adding:

The KPA General Staff in the statement of its spokesman termed the rehearsal a clear manifestation of a sinister scenario to deprive the Korean people of the cradle of their life by force of arms and bring down the socialist system, their destiny, and thus bring miserable fate of colonial slavery to all the service personnel and people of the DPRK.

This is a correct and clear analysis of the saber-rattling.

The DPRK is quite different from Iraq or Libya.

The DPRK clarified its strong and resolute stand on the joint military drill.

The joint statement fully supported the militant and revolutionary stand of the DPRK against imperialism.

The U.S. should stop the military maneuvers if it thinks about what is beneficial to it, it stressed.
