Even though not large in territory, the DPRK remains fully confident about its victory and future, imposingly rising as a youth power in the world.

The indomitable fighters who displayed the Koreans' mettle in the postwar rehabilitation and construction just as they did in defeating the U.S. imperialists in the Fatherland Liberation War, and heroes of creation and building, who erected monuments glorifying the era of the Workers' Party on this land, were none other than the youth.

The Korean youth are an advanced group and shock brigade in building a socialist power.

They are glorifying their heroic life in the confrontation with imperialists and the U.S. and on the first line of defending socialism and in difficult fields of building a socialist power.

The Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League has performed titanic feats before the country and history, rallied close around the Party and the leader.

Its ninth congress will become a historic one that will demonstrate the heroic spirit in the struggle for implementing the tasks set forth at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and provide a shining milestone in developing the Korean youth movement.
