The chairman of the Bangladeshi preparatory committee for 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu said leader Kim Jong Il not only provided a sure military guarantee for the final victory of the socialist cause by strengthening the army and building up the national defence capabilities but made tremendous contribution to the cause of global independence.

The chief of the Madrid Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and other speakers said the DPRK could defeat the Japanese and U.S. imperialists and always emerge victorious thanks to the Songun leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. They noted it was a historical event of great significance that Kim Jong Il started the Songun revolutionary leadership by inspecting the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on Aug. 25 in 1960.
