British Organizations Denounce Ulji Freedom Guardian

Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association UK and the British Preparatory Committee for 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu made public a joint statement on August 22 denouncing Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drill being staged by the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces.

On August 22 the U.S. imperialists started the joint military drill targeting the DPRK by mobilizing the south Korean puppet forces and the forces of satellite countries, the statement said, and went on:

The rehearsal with huge armed forces involved is not a mere defensive one.

A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry in a statement said that the saber-rattling is an unpardonable crime of driving the unprecedentedly instable situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a war as the U.S. introduced various nuclear strategic bombers, THAAD and other strategic assets into the Korean peninsula and its vicinity.

Ulji Freedom Guardian should be stopped at once as it gravely threatens peace on the peninsula and in the region.

The ceaseless exercises for a war of aggression staged by the U.S. would face resolute and merciless counteraction of the army and people of the DPRK.

Quite just is the nuclear deterrence of the DPRK for defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country.
