U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises Slammed by Austrian Body

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity Committee of Unionists for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Austria on Aug. 26 sent a letter to the U.S. Embassy in Vienna in protest against the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drill being staged by the U.S. imperialists in collusion with the south Korean puppet forces.

The letter said that the committee strongly denounces the military drill of the U.S. and south Korea and demanded an immediate halt to it.

The U.S. ceaseless joint military exercises on the Korean peninsula and around it can never be justified, it noted, and went on:

The U.S. actions pose a threat to the peace and security not only on the Korean peninsula but in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world.

We strongly urge the U.S. to roll back its hostile policy towards the DPRK immediately.
