The editorial referred to the fact that the third hearing of the ad hoc committee has been under way since Sept. 1.

It said that the committee was forced to suspend its inquiry owing to the "government's" interpretation of the special law on the ferry Sewol, but the committee disclosed new facts to be helpful to probing the truth behind the disaster on the basis of the information it had gathered.

The more inquiries are made into the disaster, the more countermeasures of the "government" are disclosed and the more information and evidence require investigation, it noted.
