Rodong Sinmun Tuesday, commenting on this, says the U.S. is seriously mistaken if it thinks sanctions would settle everything.

The DPRK has had access to the powerful nuclear deterrent in the spirit of self-reliance and self-development and indomitable will despite the unprecedented U.S. pressure and blockade, not in a good condition and circumstances, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The U.S. had better bear in mind that as long as it persists in its nuclear threat and arbitrary practices, the DPRK will never take even a step back from bolstering up nuclear deterrence.

It is none other than the U.S. that creates the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula and disturbs peace and security in the region and the rest of the world.

The DPRK is bolstering up powerful nuclear deterrence both in quantity and quality after having access to it. This is the just self-defensive step to cope with the U.S. ever more reckless madcap hostile policy toward the DPRK and nuclear threat.

The U.S. nuclear threat and blackmail that lasted for over half a century compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons whereas the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK that has become all the more undisguised even now when the latter ranked itself among nuclear powers has resulted in pushing the DPRK to putting its nuclear force on a high level.

Independence, Songun and socialism are the immutable path of the DPRK.

No one can block the DPRK advancing straight along this road.
