More Remains of Martyrs Buried at Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- More remains of martyrs were buried at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri. Among them were An Kyong Ho, former director of the Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, Ri Chan Bok and Ri Tong Gyu, former general officers of the Korean People's Army, and Jon Myong Sop, anti-Japanese patriotic martyr. An Kyong Ho devoted all his energies to the work for glorifying the feats President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed for national reunification till the last moments of his life, and remained boundlessly loyal to the Party. Ri Chan Bok, as a member of the juvenile guerrilla during the Fatherland Liberation War, bravely fought against the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and reliably safeguarded the Party, revolution and socialism in the forefront of defending the country for decades. Ri Tong Gyu, who grew up to be a prestigious army surgeon under the care of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu, devoted himself to medical science research and education with the single mind to remain loyal to the trust of the Party which put forward him as labor hero, academician, professor and doctor and showed paternal loving care for him. Jon Myong Sop, who grew up to be a member of the revolutionary organization in the flames of the anti-Japanese revolution and lived a glorious life, remained loyal to the Party, while devoting himself to the education. Ceremonies of burying the remains of the martyrs were held at the cemetery on Tuesday. |
