Japan's Apology and Reparation for Explosion of Ship Ukishima-maru to Massacre Koreans Demanded

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting for remembering the forcible Korean draftees who were ruthlessly killed by the Japanese imperialists through the explosion of ship Ukishima-maru was held in Maizuru City, Kyoto, Japan on August 24.

Speakers said 71 years have passed since the Ukishima-maru explosion but neither probe into the truth about it nor Japan's apology and reparation have been made.

They held that the grudge of the cruelly massacred Koreans should be settled as early as possible.

Memorial messages from the Rights and Welfare Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and other parts of Japan were introduced at the meeting.
