The appeal said:

At the high platform of the Ninth Congress of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League Marshal Kim Jong Un clarified the tasks for national reunification, clearly indicating the way of the Korean youth movement. This is the important guidelines which make the Korean youth discharge the sacred mission they assume for the era and history in the van of the patriotic sacred war for putting an end to the pain of division that has lasted for a long period and building a dignified and prosperous reunified power on this land.

The Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League appealed as follows to all the young Korean people at home and abroad out of the burning mind to usher in a new era of independent reunification without fail by giving fullest play to the youthful stamina and passion, true to the call of Marshal Kim Jong Un:

Let us discharge the noble mission for the country and the nation, holding high the slogan "Forward, young Korean people, toward bright future of reunified youth power!"

1. Let us hold the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, peerlessly great man of Mt. Paektu and peerless patriot, as the lodestar of national reunification and the great leader of the Korean youth movement in high esteem!

2. Let us pave a wide avenue to national reunification by pooling youthful intention and mind on the road of reunification and patriotism, holding high the banner of national independence, the banner of great national unity!

3. Let our young people take the lead in opening a new phase of improved inter-Korean relations and national reunification, invariably taking hold on the three charters for national reunification and the historic north-south joint declarations as immortal great programmes for national reunification!

4. Let us check and frustrate the war moves for aggression by the U.S. and its followers to inflict nuclear disaster on the nation and make the flames for independence against the U.S. and for democratization against fascism rage more furiously in south Korea!

5. Let overseas young people cherish the pride and self-esteem of the dignified Korean nation and make proactive contribution to the sacred cause for independent reunification of the country and prosperity of the nation!

The appeal proposed to hold the great gathering of young Korean people for reunification in which youth organizations of all social standings and young people in the north, the south and abroad will participate to promote the movement for national reunification in a more unique and viable way in conformity with the unanimous desire of all Koreans aspiring after reunification.

If all young Korean people, the most viable unit of the nation, turn out, there is nothing impossible in the world and the final victory of national reunification is certain, the appeal concluded.
