The prize was conveyed on Sept. 5 to Jang Jun Sang, vice-minister of Public Health, who is heading a DPRK public health delegation at the 69th South-East Asia Regional Assembly of the WHO now underway in Sri Lanka.

The conferment of the prize upon the Ministry of Public Health of the DPRK is a vivid expression of sympathy and support for the advantages and vitality of the socialist healthcare system whereby modern healthcare centers and cultural and welfare establishments have been built one after another to achieve great successes in the work for promoting people's health and the preventive and curative medical care thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un's policy of prioritizing, respecting and loving the people.
