The Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory raised the localization rate of its facilities up to 90 percent and developed tens of kinds of new products.

The Ryuwon Shoes Factory launched a project to update itself in a big way, while the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory strove to put soap and cosmetics production processes on an unmanned basis.

Similar successes were also made at the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Silk Mill, the Phyongsong Synthetic Leather Factory and the Kanggye Pencil Factory.
