Wreathes Laid before Cemeteries

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Wreathes were laid before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on Friday, the 68th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Wreathes in the name of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA), were seen on the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries. Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other leading officials of the party, state and army, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) and working people in the city. The participants laid bouquets and flowers before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong. A wreath in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet were laid on the wreath-laying stands of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong and the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri, a wreath in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK on the wreath-laying stand "Soul of Heroes" at the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery. Laid before the cemeteries were wreathes in the names of the armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and KPISF, institutions of science, education, public health and media, and party and power organs, enterprises and farms in the city. The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen fighters who dedicated their lives to the country's liberation, people's freedom and happiness and to the struggle for achieving national reunification and accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution. They looked round the cemeteries. On the same day wreathes, bouquets and flowers were placed before the statues of the martyrs, cemeteries of the fallen fighters, monuments to the fallen soldiers of the KPA and cemeteries of fallen fighters across the country. |
