Music, Dance and Poem Presentation Given
Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Presentation of music, dance and poem "Story told by 'Arirang'" was given at the Ponghwa Art Theatre Friday, the 68th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials, officials of party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and those in Pyongyang and persons of merits.

Present there on invitation were overseas Koreans, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys and representative of international bodies here and their spouses, military attaches and their spouses and other foreign guests.

Folk songs, national instrumental music pieces, dance pieces and song and dance works comprehensively and impressively dealt with the time-honored history of the Korean nation created along with Arirang.

In such numbers as female solo and grand kayagum ensemble "Arirang" the performers gave artistic presentation to the past and present of the DPRK when a definite end was put to the history of twists and turns and the dignity of the country and nation were put on the highest level thanks to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The performance was highly acclaimed by the audience for reflecting the iron-will of all service persons and people to glorify the DPRK as the eternal state of the great leaders and dynamically advance along the path of building a socialist power indicated at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
