A few months ago, the DPRK teams of men and women from various universities won trophies at the IHF Trophy Tournament East and Southeast Asia held in Hong Kong, China.

Taking part in the tournament were many teams from countries and regions, including Vietnam, Mongolia and Taipei of China.

In the tournament, Ri Kyong Song of Kim Il Sung University and Choe Pong Im of Kim Chaek University of Technology were awarded the men's and women's best prizes.

Ri Kyong Song told KCNA that foreign experts were unanimous in saying the DPRK teams, made up of university students, are very strong in mental power.

He stressed that they, student athletes, would further cultivate their sports technique to prove successful in international games of higher level.
