In this regard, Ri Son Hui, director of the institute, told KCNA:

The institute has concentrated efforts on breeding highly productive and medicinal mushrooms, which are suitable to topographical and seasonal conditions of the country.

The newly-bred mushrooms have been cultivated by many mushroom farms across the country.

Now, researchers of the institute are helping those farms in producing spores and substrates and cultivating high-yielding strains of mushroom.
