DPRK Pays Priority to Flood Damage Rehabilitation
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Recently, strong wind and heavy rainfalls, the worst-ever climatic phenomenon in Korea after its liberation, swept over several cities and counties along the River Tuman in the northern part of the DPRK, causing huge losses.

The storm and flooding left houses for tens of thousands of families and public buildings collapsed and railways, roads, electric power system, industrial establishment and farm lands destroyed or submerged.

To cope with such disaster, the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) made an important decision to turn the direction of the main efforts of the ongoing 200-day campaign to the reconstruction of disaster areas in northern part of the country.

With this decision, the country's manpower and material and technical potentials are now concentrated on the flood damage rehabilitation.

Under the guidance of the WPK, which regards as a mode of its existence to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, the DPRK citizens will heal the severe flood damage as soon as possible and work a miracle of turning adversity into favorable condition in the flood-hit northern part of the country.
