Minju Joson Blasts Japanese Reactionaries' Repressive Action against Korean Schools in Japan
Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The Japanese Mainichi Shimbun recently said that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan requested each local area to examine the problem concerning subsidies to Korean schools in Japan from a standpoint of "reasonableness and common interests" and report the results to the ministry.

According to the paper, the former minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on March 29 sent each local area a notice requesting it to make inquiry and examination of "common interests of the subsidies, the effect of education and the reasonableness and transparency of giving subsidies" and report the results to the ministry as Chongryon and Korean schools in Japan are in very close touch with each other.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a commentary in this regard:

This indicates that the Japanese government authorities are set to stretch the tentacles of suppression even to the Korean schools related to Chongryon after labeling it "criminal organization".

The ever more intensified repressive actions of the Japanese reactionaries against Chongryon and Korean schools would only lay bare their despicable nature of disturbing peace and violating human rights and international law.

The DPRK will never tolerate the politically- motivated provocations of the Japanese reactionaries.

Japan committed too many crimes against the Korean nation to redeem them.

The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised not to misjudge the hatred of the service personnel and people of the DPRK against Japan running high as the days go by but to stop their reckless act, well aware of the consequences to be entailed by their anti-DPRK smear campaign and thoughtless politically-motivated provocations.
