DPRK Accedes to Treaties of WIPO

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The DPRK acceded to "The 1999 Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement on the International Registration of Industrial Designs" and "The Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trade Marks", treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The papers on accession to the treaties were delivered to the trustee, the director general of the WIPO on June 13, Juche 105 (2016).

According to the rule of the accession, the DPRK's papers are to take effect since Sep. 13, 2016 three months after their application.

The DPRK will as ever proactively strive to creditably perform its mission and duty as full member of the WIPO.
