Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission and chairman of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.

The ambassador said in a speech that the DPRK founded under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung overcame difficulties to record immortal annals.

He stressed that certain is the victory of the heroic Korean people defending the revolutionary gains and advancing toward future under the banner of the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, adding that the friendship and solidarity between the two countries would always remain ever-green.

Yang Hyong Sop said: The friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Cuba provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries are steadily growing stronger under the special care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the respected Comrade Raul Castro Ruz.

The Korean people will as ever extend full support and solidarity to the fraternal Cuban people in their struggle to firmly defend the gains of socialism and thoroughly carry out the decision of the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, he noted.
