Present there were officials, teachers, researchers, forecasters and postgraduate students of various units including Kim Il Sung University, the State Hydro-meteorological Administration and provincial hydro-meteorological administrations.

The presentation was divided into meteorological and hydrological panels. Introduced there were more than 70 scientific and technical achievements gained in the work for ensuring the accuracy of weather forecast.

The participants swapped the experience they achieved in the course of putting the hydro-meteorological forecast on a high scientific and IT basis, rounding off observation networks as required by natural and geographical features of Korea and developing reality and updating meteorological observation equipment.

Also presented were papers for scientific and reasonable use of water resources for hydro-power generation and irrigation reservoirs.
