Many Tons of Iron and Steel Supplied to Flood-hit Areas

| Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- The DPRK's metal industrial sector steps up the iron and steel production for the smooth rehabilitation in the flood-stricken northern areas of North Hamgyong Province. A brisk campaign for increased production was launched at Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, Chollima Steel Complex and other metal industrial establishments of the country. The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex already supplied to the disaster areas more than 190 tons of iron and steel. Meanwhile, Musan Mining Complex and Unryul and Jaeryong mines have boosted the output 1.2 times over the schedule to provide enough raw materials for the iron and steel production. After all, several hundreds of tons of iron and steel were sent to the flood-afflicted areas in a few recent days. |
