Present there were officials of the party and power organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, people from all walks of life and youth and students in the province and city.

A statement released by the Nuclear Weapons Institute of the DPRK was read out to be followed by congratulatory speeches at the rallies.

The speakers said the successful warhead explosion test conducted to mark the founding anniversary of the DPRK was the greatest event which guaranteed eternal prosperity and security of Juche Korea and an exciting deed to go down in the national history that instilled confidence in sure victory and optimism into the servicepersons and people.

They noted that supreme leader Kim Jong Un victoriously led the nuclear warhead explosion test and put dignity and prestige of the DPRK on the highest stage.

They called upon all sectors and units to thoroughly implement the tasks advanced at the Seventh Congress of the Party and raise a fierce flame of creating the Mallima speed in recovering the flood-hit northern areas of North Hamgyong Province.

They underscored the need for the People's Army to annihilate the enemy at a strike if the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces dare ignite a war on this land.

Scientists and technologists should solve on the highest level the scientific and technological problems arising in developing the national defence industry and economic construction, they said.

They called upon the youth to continue to charge, advance and make innovations holding aloft the slogan "Let us fully demonstrate the resourcefulness and valor of the hero youth in the general offensive for building a powerful socialist country!"
