The statement said that the DRPK conducted a nuclear warhead explosion test under the plan of the Workers' Party of Korea on building a strategic nuclear force.

The test was a just and legitimate step of socialist Korea to cope with the U.S. imperialists' ceaseless nuclear threat, it noted.

The successful nuclear warhead explosion test made it possible to more firmly guarantee peace and security on the Korean peninsula, it pointed out.

The U.S. claim that the DPRK's nuclear test is a "threat to peace" is nothing but nonsensical sophism, it said, and went on:

We extend heartfelt congratulations to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, the Workers' Party of Korea, the DPRK and its army and people on the successful nuclear warhead explosion test.
