The Hydro-meteorological and Environmental Survey Bureau of the Russian Federation said that the DPRK's nuclear warhead explosion test did not have any adverse impact on the environment of Russia as far as radioactivity is concerned. A spokesman for the Hydro-meteorological Bureau of the Maritime Territorial Region said that no radioactive expansion was observed at any observation post of the maritime territorial region, saying that the environmental value of radiation in the territory was normal.

Hua Chunying, spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said that China was not affected by the radiation influence of the DPRK's nuclear warhead explosion test and the Ministry of Environmental Protection noted that there were no abnormal phenomena according to the results of observation made at 25 automatic observatories in the frontier region of the three provinces of Northeast China.

The Ministry of Environment of Japan informed residents that no change in the level of radiation was recorded in the country.
