Present there were officials of the party and power organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, people from all walks of life and youths and students in the provinces.

A statement released by the Nuclear Weapons Institute of the DPRK was read out to be followed by congratulatory speeches at the rallies.

The speakers said that the test helped boost the strategic position of the DPRK as an invincible military power and full-fledged nuclear power.

They called on electric power and coal industrial fields and other priority sectors of national economy to bring about a turn in production and give a top priority to the supply of electric power, equipment and materials necessary for the drive to recover from flood damage in the northern part of North Hamgyong Province.

They called for making a dynamic drive to build a socialist power of Juche, people's paradise, on this land at an early date in firm unity around Marshal Kim Jong Un.
