During the visit the delegation held negotiations with a department director of the FM of Belarus and attended an inaugural ceremony of the DPRK Embassy in Minsk.

At the negotiations both sides discussed the issues of boosting the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and various other fields and exchanged views on the regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Both sides reaffirmed the will to boost the long-standing bilateral friendly relations onto a new stage in conformity with the wishes and interests of the peoples of the two countries and reached a consensus of views on steadily developing political relations including exchange between the two foreign ministries and boosting the bilateral economic cooperation in line with it.

The Belarusian side appreciated the opening of the DPRK Embassy in Minsk as an expression of the aspiration and will of the government and people of the DPRK to develop the bilateral relations onto a new stage.

The DPRK side expressed thanks to the government, the Foreign Ministry and relevant organs of Belarus for providing selfless help and conveniences to the work for opening the embassy.

Both sides expressed the willingness to have closer mutual cooperation in the UN and other international arena on the principles of non-interference in internal affairs, respect for sovereignty, equality and mutual benefits.
