When the flooding severely hit the city, displacing many citizens, there were some parturient women among them.

City officials, citizens and medical workers turned out to rescue and carry those women to the Hoeryong Maternity Hospital and showed all sincerity to them under such critical situation caused by disaster.

Kang Chun Sim, a woman residing in Mangyang-dong, Hoeryong City who was the first to give birth in the flood-stricken areas, told KCNA:

I didn't expect that I would have an easy delivery in this disaster area.

Many officials and builders have showed warm congratulations and deep care for me, an ordinary citizen, though they are busy with the recovery efforts.

This grateful scene can be seen only in our socialist system, I dare say.
