Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers and postgraduate students of the Ferrous Metal Research Institute and the Mechanical Engineering Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other units.

The presentation was held, divided into metallurgical and material panels.

It heard more than 60 papers on achievements and experience made in the course of increasing the production of steel and iron, improving the quality of metal goods and putting the production processes on a modern and CNC basis.

There took place a lecture on the recent trend of development of metal industry.
