Korean Stamp Show Opens
Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- The Korean stamp show for marking the 70th anniversary of Kim Il Sung University opened at the university Wednesday.

Displayed in the venue of the show is a stamp carrying the photo of portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

On display there are stamps dealing with the revolutionary history of the President who liberated the country through the anti-Japanese armed struggle and led to the victory the building of new democratic Korea, the Fatherland Liberation War and socialist construction.

Also displayed there are stamps reflecting the history of the love shown by the President who founded the university, the first one of the people, and made efforts for the development of the university.

The stamps deal with revolutionary career and immortal feats of Kim Jong Il who turned the DPRK into a political and ideological power and invincible military power since he started his activities at the university.

Stamps "Apartment houses for educators of Kim Il Sung University", "Sci-Tech Complex", "Mirae Scientists Street", "People's Theatre", etc. reflect the shining reality of the DPRK in which the epoch-making changes are witnessed in the construction of building a powerful socialist country.

Stamps show the heroic struggle of the army and people of the DPRK who have performed miracles and feats in defending the country and building socialism

Displayed there are also varieties of stamps presented by philatelists here.

The show goes on until October 2.
