The statement said:

We warmly congratulate the DPRK on its successful nuclear warhead explosion test by its indigenous efforts and technology.

Through the test, the DPRK fully demonstrated once again its tremendous power before the world.

The test is a very just measure to put an indefinite end to the U.S. nuclear threats that have lasted on the Korean peninsula for more than half a century and defend the sovereignty of the country.

The U.S. must withdraw its aggression forces from south Korea at an early date and stop at once the war drills for aggression and the racket to impose sanctions on the DPRK which pose a threat to the peace and security on the peninsula and in the region.

We are convinced that the Korean people will register greater successes in all fields.
