Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- With the death anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, the DPRK people recall the great feats she performed for the development of the Workers' Party of Korea. During the anti-Japanese armed struggle for Korea's liberation, Kim Jong Suk had worked hard to form and expand basic party organizations under President Kim Il Sung's policy of founding a Juche-type party. In the latter half of the 1930s, she conducted her energetic activities to revolutionize Musan and Yonsa areas in the homeland and set up basic party organizations there, true to Kim Il Sung's idea and line of pushing ahead with the work for building party and mass organizations in a combined way. Thanks to her devoted efforts, many party branches came into being not only in Hamgyong Province but also in Pyongyang, Nampho, Wonsan and southern part of Korea. Her tireless activities for party building had continued even after the country's liberation in August 1945. In December 1945 she called on the Chongjin City Party Committee to stress the need to admit into the party excellent persons from all walks of life who were ready to devote themselves to the working masses' interests and the building of a prosperous and independent country. She also paid deep attention to strengthening the party cells so that all the party members could play a vanguard role in building a new country true to Kim Il Sung's idea and policy. Now the Korean people harden their will to remain faithful to the leadership of the WPK striving for the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, with Kim Jong Suk's feats for the building of the WPK and its development. |
